Family Support Group

The STAR Housing family support group has been set up in order to allow loved ones to heal alongside the recovering addicts they are supporting, this is a safe space to share honestly how you are feeling and for you be able to access support from within the group.

There are no judgements here and all are welcome, together we can set healthy boundaries to move forward without enabling our loved ones and ensure we also put our own needs first. When a person maintains recovery from their addiction, quite often loved ones end up stuck in an unhelpful cycle and cannot move forward from the destruction caused by addiction. We want to break that cycle and see the ripple affect of families being whole again

You Are Not Alone!

There are staff and volunteers at STAR Housing Family Support Group who have lived experience of a loved one being involved in addiction, this is helpful to those trying to access support, as STAR Housing have a deep knowledge and understanding around what individuals face and what they are experiencing, whether it may be emotional support, coping strategies or accessing organisations to receive help for complex situations that can arise.
